Film and Poem Opportunity
My name is Lawrence Pettener. I'm a Liverpool poet living and
working in Bristol (Google me), and I have a number of poems
which film-makers might respond to creatively. I’m thinking of
films of 1-3 minutes in order to appeal to youtube, VEOH
and other video-sharing site-users with all participants credited.
Links to our own websites will be one way of doing that.
My poems take around 30 seconds to two minutes to read out loud.
Your films might 'go with' the poem in terms of mood, tone or
hard content,or just an interpretative feel; I will be happy if
anybody is responding to my work, and also if film-makers feel
that my work complements theirs.
Film-makers are welcome to call me 0117 908 3652 or mail me at
stripyc@blueyonder.co.uk,with
Poems for Films in the subject-header.
You can also get a feel for my poetry by typing Lawrence Pettener
into youtube (the link was too long and didn’t seem to work).
Thanks, and looking forward to hearing from you.
The Siren Who Fell To Earth
This short film by Bristol Screenwriters member James Pounce
can be viewed On You Tube.
It's a 50s style Sci-Fi homage made for a local band,
The Master Chaynjis. It was recently shown at the launch party
for their new EP, Only Death Can Save Us.
